Verve has a track record of working with well-being and mental health organisations, supporting them to communicate, engage and consult clients and people. Building on this, we have enhanced our offer to include Mental Health First Aid training.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training course that teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
You will learn:
We offer the two-day adult Mental Health First Aid course, which has been carefully designed my MHFA England and, based on research, evidence and experience from around the world. We work with a network of Mental Health First Aid trainers across the UK
The course lasts two full days, with each participant receiving a workbook, manual and support materials to keep after the course.
If you would like to offer the course to your employees, members or participants, get in touch and we will prepare a tailor-made package based on the number of participants, location of the course and your other requirements.
MHFA best-practice guidelines state that training courses should have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 14 participants
Your trainer: Colin Beesting
